You may begin typing or pasting your writing into this section. Be mindful that you will want to keep things reasonably organized in the beginning. For example: Paste your initial paragraph into the space identified as to the part or the author. Once the revision of paragraphs have been accomplished you can then discuss which paragraphs should come first and how to transition them together so that they smoothly make one paper.

Scouts Honor
Scouts Honor is about this narrator as a 9 year old and his buds trying to be a little tougher than each other. He has a rank of tenderfoot or the first rank. Through this paper I shall tell you about the characters, the main events, the settings, the symbols, and the literary devices. This story takes place in 1946. This story is about how the narrator and his friends try to be tougher than each other. They take an adventure to all sorts of places nowhere near their houses in Brooklyn, New York.

The characters are the narrator, Max, Horse, and Mr. Brenkmen. He said he liked roughing it on page 55. The book Scout’s Honor is all about being the toughest and most brave. It is sort of like a competition.
Max is the Narrator’s best friend. He is tougher than Horse. (page 55)
Horse is the second toughest in the group. (page 55)
Mr. Brenkmen is the preacher and scout leader. He is the type of preacher that warns people of hell-fire (page 54).
At the end of Scout’s honor Horse and Max tell the narrator that they aren’t as tough as him (page 63).

And if any of yall can fix this a that would rock. Can't wait for yall's
.

Hey guys heres mine
The setting in Scouts Honor changes quite frequently. There are actually seven different settings in the book; all of which include the wilderness, a subway car, New York, a dirty, trash filled forest, the inside of a smoky lean-to, and a subway station. There was only one major symbol in the story, and that was the boy scout badge. The boy scout badge symbolizes the scout law which is being loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

This is the literary devices for our group by Ashley:)

Furthermore, there are many forms of literary devices in this story. For example, there are things such as alliteration, similes, and hyperboles. Alliteration is when there are two or more words that start with the same sound, like green grass. Similes compare two different things using the words “like” or “as”. An example of this is “He is as mad as a bull.” Hyperboles are obvious exaggerations, somewhat like “It is going to take forever!” (Note that the last three examples were not listed in the book. They were just used for instance.) It most likely will not take forever. In this piece, an example of alliteration is “puny pin” from page 54. There were a few similes in the story, such as “looked like a limp scab” on page 57 and “looked like a used-up punching bag.” on page 63. There was one or two hyperboles, like “a zillion miles.” which can be found on page 55, and “my foot was killing me,” page 61. Those are just a

few of the literary devices that can be found in the story Scout’s Honor.

Here are the major events of Scout’s Honor.
The narrator thinks of himself as a wimp. To prove that he is a man (even though he is only 9 years old) he decides to go on a camping trip to progress from Tenderfoot rank up to Second Class (page 54). He goes and meets his friends, Max and Horse, and he tells them about the camping trip (page 55). He tells them about Mr. Brenkman (who he met on page 54) and how they have to go camping in the country by themselves. They told their parents that they would be camping (which was the truth) and that they would be going with Mr. Brenkman (which was a lie). They did this on page 56. They arrived at the sub station, and they waited for their train. Right as they were about to get on the train, Max realized he had left his mattress on the platform so he jumped off to get it (page 57). They had to leave Max behind and go back and get him. They arrived at New Jersey where their “country” is found (page 57). They continued to walk and they found themselves in New Jersey and New York at the same time (page 60)! After many hours of traveling, they arrived in “country” (page 61). They made a lean-to and a fire for shelter and warmth (page 61). After a while they realize that they don’t like camping. They pack up and start to go home (page 62). They arrive home and they realized they are not so tough and that that’s ok (page 63)!

Heres the final copy guys!

Hey guys it's Ashley. I edited some of your parts (because in an actual paper, for example, we don't need "pg", we need "page'.) I just wanted to let you know=)

Guys (and girls) who's paper is in black? Plus I'm going to organize these paragraphs if that is ok. I'm going to put the Intro first . Then I'm putting the characters second. Third is the settings. Fourth is major events. Fifth is Literary devices. Last is the closing (where is it?).

To conclude, at the end of the story they become better friends and tell the narrator that they aren't as tough as him. Also, they get their badges. Futhermore, they all became better friends. This book was a great book and I recommend it to all of you people out there!
Finally! I finished. Tell me if you want to change anything.I meshed them all together. Now we need to read over it and make sure we like it but we still have time.
